ABENA Strengthens Collaboration with InterForce to Support Employee Volunteering

ABENA’s Danish entities have signed a strengthened cooperation agreement with InterForce, a Danish organization that builds bridges between the armed forces, emergency preparedness units, and the civilian workforce.

The strengthened agreement with InterForce formalizes ABENA’s support for employees volunteer in the Reserve, the Home Guard, the Emergency Management Agency, or the Coastal Rescue Service.

Through the collaboration, ABENA employees engaged in these efforts will be granted five days of paid leave to participate in official training or assignments during working hours.

“We want to be a flexible and responsible employer. Supporting employees who take on responsibilities beyond their daily work – such as voluntary emergency service – is one way we show that in practice,” says Lotte Blanner, HR Director at ABENA.

The agreement was signed at a small reception in Aabenraa by Colonel Christian Jacob Flarup from InterForce and Lotte Blanner. It reflects ABENA’s ongoing commitment to work-life balance, employee well-being, and social responsibility.

The strengthened collaboration reflects ABENA’s commitment to creating a flexible and responsible workplace, where personal dedication and professional life can go hand in hand.
