In May 2022, ABENA started using stickers to repair broken cardboard boxes. The initiative has minimized the total amount of cardboard boxes substantially at ABENA's central distribution center in Denmark.
“In six months, we have repaired 12,500 cardboard boxes with a sticker, instead of repacking and replacing them with new boxes. That has saved us a lot of time and resources, and our customers still receive their parcels in a quick and safe manner”, says Kristina Grøndal Troelsen, Quality Manager at ABENA Logistics.
The sticker has a white, dotted line that can be cut so it folds neatly around the corner of the box.
