Abena products win Eco-product of the year in France

Two Abena product ranges have been recognized as the top Eco-products in France for 2019.
Abena products have won the “Best Eco-product 2019” award in France in two categories: sanitary pads and baby training pants. The winners are selected based on reviews from customers and expert panelists in a competitiion where only top quality products that have already been approved by ecolabelling organizations, such as the Nordic Swan or the EU Flower, can participate.
- Abena Light achieved 1st place in the sanitary pads category with an overall score of 16.18 out of 20. 83% of the consumer-panelists were satisfied by the product and its performance.
- Bambo Nature Training Pants achieved 1st place in the baby training pants category with an overall score of 17.51 out of 20. 92% of the consumer-panelists were satisfied with the product and its performance and 88% would buy it right away.
Both products are produced at Abena’s Danish production site in Aabenraa, Denmark, a green factory where more than 3 millions incontinence products and baby diapers are produced daily.
Tested and approved by panel of super-testers
Achieving 1st place is a “Distinction of excellence”, intended only for the most popular eco-products in a category. As part of the process each product is sent to a panel of 100 “bio” consumers who act as jury of super-testers. The products are then tested in real-life situations and evaluated according to specific criteria (such as performance, structure, odor reduction, packaging etc.). A product can only win the award if it’s the first in its category with an overall score of at least 16 out of 20.
The competition is organized each year by “Bio à la une”, a French showcase and communication organization focused on eco-friendly products and solutions.The goal is to easily highlight the best eco-products on the market to French consumers.
