Optimize Hygiene in Your Production

Paper solutions for the food industry

Paper has many functions in the food industry, from cleaning and hand drying to washroom necessities. At ABENA, you can find everything you need for your food production and your employees' washroom breaks.

Efficiently keep bacteria away

Studies show that how we dry our hands matters, as bacteria spread more easily on wet skin than on dry skin.
Therefore, it is crucial that your employees’ hands are completely dry after washing them when working with fish, meat, or other types of food. This will reduce the risk of transferring bacteria to food and ensure that the disinfectant you use works properly.

Choose paper instead of hand dryers for hand wiping

When using paper to wipe your hands, you remove most bacteria. In fact, drying your hands with paper towels significantly reduces the spread of bacteria compared to using hand dryers. Hand dryers not only blow water off your hands but also disperse excess bacteria into the surrounding area, where they can remain airborne for up to 15 minutes. For this reason, paper can be a better choice for maintaining hygiene in your food production.*

Make hygienic practices straightforward

With folded paper towels you can minimize the risk of contamination.

Both V-, Z-, and W-folded paper towels engage with the next sheet, meaning when your employees pull a paper towel from the dispenser, the next sheet is pulled free.

This way, no one touches the next piece of paper or the dispenser itself, minimizing the risk of spreading harmful micro-organisms in your food production.

Enhance security in your food production

Does paper sometimes get lost in your food production and compromise hygiene?

With our blue paper, it is easy to detect if a paper sheet is lost in production. The distinct color provides you with an added layer of security. It allows you to quickly identify and address any accidental contamination.

Choose the right materials for your needs

Depending on the paper's purpose, some materials may be better to use than others. In our assortment you will find:

  • Cellulose: This material is very absorbent, which makes it perfect for drying your hands in food industries. Afterall, it is important to dry your hands thoroughly to reduce risk of transferring bacteria to food and ensure the disinfectants work properly.
  • Nonwoven: This material is perfect for tougher cleaning or wiping cases. With its high absorbency, thickness, and generally large size per sheet, you can effectively and conveniently clean larger surfaces.
  • Recycled: Is using responsible materials part of your company's strategy? Then the recycled fiber material may be for you. However, notice this material does not have the same absorption ability as for example cellulose. This is because the fibers have been shorten throughout the recycle phase.
