ABENA GmbH has entered into a new distribution agreement in Germany, which has contributed to emission reduction efforts.
Through the collaboration, ABENA now uses Deutsche Post's GoGreen Plus service for letter mail deliveries. The GoGreen Plus service is designed to reduce the environmental impact of transportation by utilizing trucks powered by biogas or electricity, hydrogenated vegetable oil as fuel, and heat pumps in Deutsche Post/DHL-owned buildings.
This new distribution agreement has resulted a reduction of 2.38 tons of CO2 emissions* in the distribution process, specifically from ABENA's warehouse to customers.
