Observing products in nature

ABENA’s products naturally do not belong in nature. Should they accidentally end up there anyway, the impact needs to be as harmless as possible. In the outdoor “biolab”, ABENA observes how wind, weather, and time set their marks on a small selection of products. The results are used for further product development.

Improving biodiversity

In the fall of 2021, ABENA inaugurated an insect hotel made from pruned branches from its own premises. The insect hotel is placed in a field of wild-grown grass and flowers right outside the windows of the global Headquarters in Aabenraa. 

Charging stations and electrical cars 

In 2021, charging stations for use by both employees and guests were established at ABENA in Denmark. New office cars that run on 100% electricity were at the same time introduced. The cars have an official range of 540 km per charge.
