The ABENA Group shares its inaugural sustainability report, highlighting the progress made in key focus areas for its employees, customers, suppliers, and additional stakeholders.
The ABENA Group’s sustainability report combines key information on ABENA’s financial and sustainability-related performance. It provides a holistic view of ABENA’s purpose and targets during the reporting period, May 1, 2021, to April 30, 2022.
An important step forward
Chairman of the Board of the ABENA Group, Arne Terp-Nielsen, states:
“This report is the first of its kind for the ABENA Group and an important step forward to reaching our 2030 goals.
With this report, we are formalizing our sustainability efforts by measuring and documenting our current performance, so we can analyze where we can improve. We are aware that the decisions we make today are essential to creating lasting, beneficial impacts that secure sustainable development tomorrow. With this report, we hold ourselves accountable to our goals, and we are excited about the work ahead of us”.
A decentralized approach
The ABENA Group’s approach to sustainability builds on a decentralized approach that empowers all employees to take action and ownership of the commitment to create valuable sustainable business practices.

But the pursuit of a sustainable future requires a new approach to how we think and solve our tasks. We therefore constantly need to remind ourselves that sustainability is something we achieve together, every day. And we all need to do our part for it to succeed”, says Arne Terp-Nielsen.
Continuing sustainability momentum
ABENA enters a new corporate strategy period, in which several sustainability-enhancing initiatives see the day. Reducing CO2 emissions and improving overall business performance continue to be our strategic focus areas over the next years.
