Dignity in Nursing Home Bathing

Ensuring comfort, care, and confidence in every bath

Resident bathing in nursing homes is often considered intuitive. However, a 2023 study on bathing conducted in 8 nursing homes in Orange County, California (1), showed a lack of proper bathing routines. Below, we have compiled practical steps and advice to help you deliver the best possible care. By following a proper washing sequence, you can help your residents feel clean and refreshed after a bath or shower.
